Terms of Use

Last updated 6 November 2026.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Niggly mobile application ("Niggly", "the app", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Niggly, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. What Niggly is

Niggly is a self-management tool for athletes managing a recurring sports injury ("niggle"). It uses a load-based framework to help you track pain and training load over time and gives you general guidance on when to push and when to ease off.

Niggly is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice. See Section 6 below. Please read it.

2. Eligibility

You must be 16 years or older to use Niggly.

3. Your account

You need a Niggly account to use the app. You sign up and sign in with your email address and a password.

To ask us to delete your account and data, contact hello@niggly.app. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

4. Your content

Niggle names, notes, and log entries you enter ("Your Content") belong to you. As described in our Privacy Policy, this data is stored on your device by default, and we don't host, view, or have access to it. The exception is a niggle you choose to share with a physio: a copy of that niggle's data is stored on our servers while the share is active. You're solely responsible for Your Content and for backing it up; if you lose your device or delete the app, we cannot recover locally stored data for you.

4A. Sharing with a physio

Physio sharing is being introduced in stages and may not be available in every version of the app. See the Privacy Policy for what is shared and stored.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Medical disclaimer: please read this

Niggly provides general, non-personalized guidance based on load-management principles commonly used in sports physiotherapy and strength coaching. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional (a physiotherapist, doctor, or other appropriate specialist) about any injury, especially if your pain is severe, getting worse, not improving as expected, or accompanied by other symptoms.

Decisions about how hard to train, whether to train at all, and how to manage your injury are yours. Niggly's guidance is informational only and should not be treated as a professional recommendation for your specific situation.

Use Niggly, and any guidance it gives you, at your own risk.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Niggly is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including, to the fullest extent permitted by law, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its guidance is accurate or suitable for your circumstances.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Morgan Evans Crawford will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Niggly — including, without limitation, any injury or aggravation of injury resulting from training decisions made using the app's guidance.

9. Termination

You may stop using Niggly at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or discontinue the app or any part of it at any time.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
